2 months!

Have you ever tried to get two 8 weeks olds to stay still, not cry and possibly smile for the camera? Well I did and this is what I got! I can't help but smile at these pics. At least they are not crying, which is usually what happens when I break out the camera.
The girls turned 2 months old on June 6th. Where does the time go? I'm trying to soak the time up as best I can. I go back to work next week and it just blows my mind that the time went so fast! The girls have started going to daycare twice a week. I think it's more to get me used to the idea rather than the girls, ha! They are doing well there and I know are being well taken care of. I am looking forward to seeing what our routine will be once they are going full time. They are doing well at home, sleeping 7 hour stretches at night! It's amazing how refreshing consistent sleep can be, especially since we went so long without it! We are excited to see how much the girls change in this next month!

Nana visits!

A couple of weeks ago, Bobby's mom got to come in from Texas to meet the girls. They really enjoyed all of the snuggling and kisses they got from Nana! We only wish we could see her more often! We can't wait for our next visit!

Sweet girls!

Mom and I had a photo shoot with the girls. Parker apparently was too pooped to cooperate. Oh well, these are some of my favorites.

What a weekend!

This past weekend was full of fun for us! It started out with a long overdue visit from Aunt Sis! We were so excited for her to get here! She seemed to have a wonderful time loving on the girls and spoiling them with gifts, of course! Alanna sewed and embroidered the most precious blankets that I absolutely love! She also spoiled Mommy and Daddy by taking a baby each night so we could get a little more rest. Thanks Aunt Sis!Alanna and her girlsSunday was Baby Dedication at church and also my first mother's day. It still amazed me that I am a wife, much less a mom! It has been a wonderful, crazy experience so far and I know it can only keep getting better! We had my whole family and Bobby's dad and stepmom here for the dedication. We had a nice lunch after and enjoyed visiting with everyone. The girls especially liked all the cuddling they received! My sweet little family

One Month!

My girls at one month!
Looking at their Honey!
Wow! 4 weeks have flown by! These girls are definitely a full time job, but a wonderful one! We are learning how to balance our time and energy (which isn't much) with the girls. Sleep is definitely lacking, but it's amazing how much you can do on 3 hours of sleep a night (and that's usually in 1.5 hour increments)! They are really starting to fill out and seem to change a little every day!
We took our first road trip to Alexandria this weekend. I was a nervous wreck on the way there, hoping they would tolerate the 3 hour drive with little to no meltdowns. They slept the entire time there and back. Well, I say entire, but both there and back they started to fuss about the remaining 10 minutes of the trip. Stretching them to 4 hours for feedings was their max! I only took a couple of pictures this weekend. Between changing, feeding, burping, putting to sleep, I have little to no time to take pics. I will make a better effort, especially since these days will soon be a fleeting memory!
