What a weekend!
This past weekend was full of fun for us! It started out with a long overdue visit from Aunt Sis! We were so excited for her to get here! She seemed to have a wonderful time loving on the girls and spoiling them with gifts, of course! Alanna sewed and embroidered the most precious blankets that I absolutely love! She also spoiled Mommy and Daddy by taking a baby each night so we could get a little more rest. Thanks Aunt Sis!

Sunday was Baby Dedication at church and also my first mother's day. It still amazed me that I am a wife, much less a mom! It has been a wonderful, crazy experience so far and I know it can only keep getting better! We had my whole family and Bobby's dad and stepmom here for the dedication. We had a nice lunch after and enjoyed visiting with everyone. The girls especially liked all the cuddling they received!

One Month!
Looking at their Honey!
Wow! 4 weeks have flown by! These girls are definitely a full time job, but a wonderful one! We are learning how to balance our time and energy (which isn't much) with the girls. Sleep is definitely lacking, but it's amazing how much you can do on 3 hours of sleep a night (and that's usually in 1.5 hour increments)! They are really starting to fill out and seem to change a little every day!

We took our first road trip to Alexandria this weekend. I was a nervous wreck on the way there, hoping they would tolerate the 3 hour drive with little to no meltdowns. They slept the entire time there and back. Well, I say entire, but both there and back they started to fuss about the remaining 10 minutes of the trip. Stretching them to 4 hours for feedings was their max! I only took a couple of pictures this weekend. Between changing, feeding, burping, putting to sleep, I have little to no time to take pics. I will make a better effort, especially since these days will soon be a fleeting memory!

Bye, Bye for now, Honey!
My mom had to go home today after spending the last 3 weeks here with us. I can't even begin to describe how much Bobby and I appreciated the time she spent here and all of the care she took of us, the girls and the house! I never imagined how much we would need her here. I only wish those weeks hadn't gone so fast! I am so lucky to have her as my mom and I hope the girls one day feel the same for me! I can only hope to be half the mother that she is! Thank you Mom for all that you have done, and all that I know you will continue to do. You are a great role model! We love you!

The Smith's visit
Saturday some of our greatest friends came to visit. Ben, Jennifer and Adriana made the trip from Houma to spend the afternoon with us. Ana absolutely loved the babies. She must have said "Hi, baby" about a thousand times. It was too cute. The weather was beautiful so we decided to pack the girls up and take them for a stroll outside in the "ladies train", as Bobby calls it. Ana wanted to help and push the stroller like a big girl. She's gonna be a GREAT big sister, hint hint!
This ladies train takes two to get out of the house!
The girls seem to like being outside

Girl's first outing
Thursday we packed the girls up and took them to the doctor for their first checkup. We had a rough night the night before but we managed to get ourselves together and out of the door in time. Since the girls screamed the whole ride home from the hospital, we were leary of what this ride could turn into. They slept the entire time and were angels at the office. Both of the girls are within 2-3 ounces of their birth weight, so the doctor was pleased. We are so blessed to have had full term, healthy twins.
Packed up and ready to go!
